Chris "The Glove" Taylor was one of Dre's many former co-producers, he Stranded On Death Row and worked on most of the songs on Doggystyle that he was never credited for, he also worked with Dre in the early days on Aftermath where he was usually credited. In this interview he drops some really interesting insight on working with dre, how much Dre did and how much he did, he claims to have produced the original version of Xxplosive from 2001, it was a song for King T, and I've read that elsewhere too, the original version was a song called The Future for King T, Part 2 is the most interesting one. Up until this interview I thought The Glove was just a bass player coz I'd seen him credited on some songs and shouted out in unreleased songs from death row.

good question, The Glove says in part 2, how everyone thinks Michelangelo painted the sistine chapel, but the truth is a whole bunch of other painters did it, michelangelo probably planned it all out and finished it off and shit but there were other painters doing the work too, that was a pretty good comparison with Dre.

Dre's had a lot of co-producers and people give him samples, but to be fair, a lot of producers use other musicians too, i think nearly every producer has to bring in keyboard players and sometimes drummers, I saw a video of Black Milk telling some drummer how he wanted the drum beat to go and the drummer did it on live drums. But it is fucked up how The Glove never got credit, and it sounds like The Glove did more than just follow dre's direction but actually made the beats himself like on Xxplosive.

I was listening to a recent Sam Sneed bootleg, Sam Sneed is another of Dre's old co-producers, I read in an interview that Dre didn't actually producer Keep Their Heads Ringin but Sam Sneed had done it, Sam Sneed got co-production credit but never got any money for it. Then I was listening to these unreleased Sam Sneed songs and the songs sound just like the same drum patterns as keep their heads ringin, makes me wonder what Dr. Dre did

Here is a video of Snoop Dogg talking about how Suge Knight used to rip off young producers on Death Row, but Snoop actually justfiy's it and says he does the same thing, this probably goes on on every big label
