I guess. I don't really see any consistency in the things that people call hipster, just confused... My understanding of it is that it's a person that likes the opposite things of what's popular just because what's popular is popular. That way they can have a controversial opinion on things and be smug about being the only person that has any sense.
In my view, now it's become popular to be a sheep, because if you do something that's out of the ordinary you'll be labeled a hipster, and hipsters are the worst people in the universe.
Although you use it in the sense it's a good thing. I'm confused.
