Kevlaar 7, of Detroit Hip-Hop Collective The Wisemen, is proud to present his remix EP "Redux on the Boards", a follow up to "Who Got the Camera?” released earlier this year. It features refreshing, neck snapping soundscapes, with fresh breaks, & crisp snares, complementing Kevlaar’s ill, & outside of the box choice of emcees like Royce da 5’9, Nas, Ghostface killah, Raekwon, Joell Ortiz, Goodie Mob, Outkast, and even a remix joint of his own. Grab the album now, and join Kevlaar 7 for another tour of where hip hop resides!
Kevlaar 7 is an unadulterated dose of reality….the type of wake up call that can change your perspective on life, lyrically, and musically. The MC/producer sniped 10 remixes, displaying his expertise on the production side, providing backdrops for some of his favorite joints from Royce 5'9, Nas, Jay Z, Goodie Mob, Ghostface, Joell Ortiz, & even his own joint. Core & New fans will love it alike
We are TRUE independents artists. As in no label (major or indie), no A & R, or publicist. Just an MC, Producer, & our vision. This allows us complete creative control of our sound & product. But, it also means that our resources are limited, which makes it challenging to manufacture merchandise to supply our fans with.
The R & R (Remixes & Revisions) is the title of our upcoming release. It features Gods'Illa, Javier Starks, Justis, Kayo Charles, Kokayi, Mello-D, Nate Vibez, Steph the Sapphic Songstress, Wordslave of Root & Words, Wordsmith & yU of Diamond District. With new production from Marcus D and remixes from Bolo, Funky DL, J-zen, Joe.D, K-Murdock, lastORDER, & Substantial.
The Impact With our debut album, physical copies were only available through a foreign licensor, forcing fans to pay twice as much. This time around we plan to manufacture the project ourselves to make it more affordable & accessible to our listeners once our campaign is successful. We are also planning to travel and perform more in 2012 to promote this release and our name.
If this campaign isn't successful, physical copies will only be available through one of our foreign licensors. This means that fans would be forced to pay import prices which tend to be expensive. Worse than that, we may only be able to make it digital only release without proper funding or a licensing/distribution deal. We hate the idea of reaching your city to put on a show and having nothing for you to walk away with as much as you do. That being said, we know that it is highly unlikely that you, THE MOST AWESOME FANS IN THE UNIVERSE, will let us fail!
What We Need & What You Get
We need $5000 to cover manufacturing, mastering, cover art, promotional items and expenses for our upcoming tour & several confirmed to promote the release. Any donation above our goal will go toward music videos & production cost for our official second album.
If we do not reach our goal, we'll use what we have, combined with our initial digital sales, to cover the bare necessities to make the physical release possible.
