Verbal Contact - Set The Mood (Video)

Dope music from the UK

"‘Set The Mood’ is the third single to be released from Verbal Contact’s upcoming album Blue In The Face, set to drop on Don’t Talk To Strangers next month.

Following on from the grimy ‘Deteste,’ transatlantic stoner anthem ‘Get Stoned’ with Left Leberra and Lunar C featured 808 banger ‘Get Got,’ the West Yorkshire trio offer a completely different angle with the down tempo sleazy Jazz vibe of ‘Set The Mood’ demonstrating the diversity that will be on display across Blue In The Face as Matter and Prys trade bars over another boundary pushing Sonar Cousin production.

The black and white visuals shot and edited by Paul Cockcroft, perfectly fits the mood of the track, set in a Jazz club with VC suited up ready for a night of liquor, women, drugs and card games on the menu."

Pharoahe Monch “DAMAGE”

Pharoahe Monch is releasing the third and final installment to his bullet trilogy. Socially prophetic and politically relevant, "Damage" chronicles the tragedy of inner city killings and mass murder. The song provides a chilling reminder that bullets have no name.

The track, produced & mixed by Lee Stone, is the lead track off Pharoahe Monch's upcoming digital-ep 'P.T.S.D.' (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) out late Fall on W.A.R. Media / Duck Down Music Inc.

David Dallas ‘Buffalo Man’ EP (Free Download)‏

"Throughout your life certain artists will resonate with you more than others. Often you can look back and pinpoint the moment when the influence of a particular artist changed your musical taste or your opinion about something.

Jamiroquai was one of those bands for me. Not just because of their great catalogue, but because I credit them as being the band that made an extremely closed minded kid realize he was capable of enjoying other music beside Hip Hop & R&B.

This E.P is the culmination of an idea we started floating around 3 years ago. A project inspired by one of my favourite bands isn’t something I’ve taken lightly. We’ve put our hearts into this, I hope you enjoy it and I hope that we’ve done some justice to the work of a great act.”
