Hell Razah - "Negro Angelitos" Download + Are You Cinematic? Contest

Hell Razah And Nature Sounds Release New Heaven Razah Single, Announce Contest For Filmmakers, Music Lovers And Movie Buffs Alike

"Those steeples on those churches weren't built for nothin'. They are designed to launch." So begins Hell Razah's new single, "Negro Angelitos" (Black Angels), a haunting ballad off of his new record, Heaven Razah, out now via Nature Sounds. Having landed in the hospital in April with a serious health emergency, Razah has re-fashioned himself as a modern day hip-hop prophet, spitting spiritual wisdom about the apocalypse, the presence of demons, mortality, and the afterlife.

The song's chorus mirrors Razah's own rise from a place of darkness. Produced by Dev-1, "Negro Angelitos" is grounded in a spooky electric piano and progresses to include a reinforcing string melody, thunder claps and, because it was recorded before Razah's stint in the hospiital, an eerily prophetic chorus. "Look deep into my eyes, can you see my soul? Man fell from heaven 'till there's one hell hole. From this hell we excel and we rise again. Look deep into my eyes again. Black Angels."

The Contest:

On his new track "Cinematic," Hell Razah channels fellow Wu-Tang swordsman GZA (think "Labels" & "Publicity") while name-dropping a slew of 70s black cinema classics. Nature Sounds will be giving away a free copy of Razah's new album Heaven Razah to the first 5 people to successfully name all the films mentioned in the track, and a special prize pack ($100 value!) will be awarded to the best mash-up video made using the track and vinatage blaxploitation footage. So whether you're an aspiring filmmaker or just a movie buff, enter to win some free stuff! Download the track for free here: http://www.naturesounds.bandcamp.com, and send all entries to matt@nature-sounds.net.
