listening to this album its amazing how much NWA were influenced by the Beastie Boys, if you listen to Ice Cubes first group C.I.A. which was before N.W.A. they were pretty much a rip off of the beastie boys, and almost every N.W.A song from NWA & the Posse and Straight Outta Compton samples the Beastie Boys, yet you'll never see any of them credit the beastie boys in interviews

no hate. i just felt Run DMC's album sounded more well put together, and Rev Run and DMC have better voices for hip hop imo.

my new theme song

i was expecting to vote for Licensed to Ill the entire time, but after listening to both albums in full back to back, Run-DMC's was slightly more enjoyable, especially when "Its Like That" came on

Been blasting Licensed To Ill for three months now, but I still gotta go with Run-DMC. Extremely close though, both are classic.

God how did i miss that?

My vote goes to Beastie Boys - Licensed to Ill. Just a great solid album, their originality is nothing compared to what we see today. Why hasn't anyone tried to bring out an album like Licensed to Ill? I'm getting tired of rappers bringing so much seriousness, regardless if their underground or mainstream.
