Always wanted to rap and write, but for some reason my voice doesnt sound right. I can't sound like most of the main stream rappers, i just sound too asian? Anything i can do about my voice? writing and improving lines will improve over time im assuming, but what can i do about my voice?

nothing wrong with your voice, just needs a bit more confidence but it's a normal thing when you're first starting out. I'd say don't try to sound like mainstream rappers, especially nowadays most of them sound retarded plus anyways what's the point of making hip-hop if you' just want to imitate? you have your own voice, work on it and use it

i dunno if this will help you any but for some reference here's my asian buddy who raps

i guess his voice is pretty white-washed but my point is that his rapping sounds fine without trying to imitate anyone in particular

yep, just think about what kind of emcee you want to be and then work on it from there, whether you want to go for a more rough in your face kinda vibe or laid back conscious shit, up to you...

as everyone else said you just need to be more confident. also, idk what hardware and software you are using, but i'd recommend using better equipment if possible lol.
