Quote (J-Breakz)
....yeah ima wage slave because i decided to stop selling drugs and finally got a 9 to 5.
which would be a mandatory 9 to 9, possibly longer, if it wasn't for a massive peaceful socialist protest at Haymarket Square in which police and union busters instigated violence, leading to multiple deaths and the wrongful convictions and executions of the organizers of the protest.
Quote (J-Breakz)
Now I have been horribly and wrongfully making atleast 450 bucks a week
a wage you surely would not be making had unions not actually been useful in the past, forcing the wages of workers upward since the late 1800's and giving workers' organizations a very minute taste of equality.
Quote (J-Breakz)
Jesus Christ, just grow up and start being a man. Only a bitch worries about being someones bitch because they don't know how to look out for themselves in the real world.
who the fuck do you think you're talking to? i'm not some rebel teenager sitting in the back of his mom's suburban bitching about inequality while i sit back idly and experience life vicariously through other people. i will be successful, but there are people who can't, not because they don't try, but because there are x number of jobs (dictated by how much CEOs can pay their workers while still maintaining their ridiculously large salaries), provided that almost everything is privatized (and the only other option in the US is government jobs and those are no different), not to mention that a large amount of the jobs that do exist do not pay nearly enough to support a family, while there is a much larger population.
Quote (J-Breakz)
In the real world, NOBODY has your back, and the only person you can truly help is yourself.
all hail capitalism and the belief that wealth and power inequalities are inevitable and efficient!
Quote (J-Breakz)
A whole society about trust and loyalty is bullshit because there is no such thing as trust or loyalty. Just quit being a pussy and start realizing that this is how the world works and how its always going to work.
you know, back during the reign of feudal monarchy similar excuses were made: "well, the king has to be there because society cannot run efficiently without a monarch making all the rules. people cannot make their own decisions democratically, that's absurd!" what you are saying is no different. and btw, how are we defining trust and loyalty??? i'm not at all supporting a society based solely on trust and loyalty. i support a socialist market economy based on equal working circumstances, the redefining of property laws to allow for those who perform labor a first and immediate claim over than which they labor on, voluntary labor, free association, a brand new theory of value that i call the Direct Remuneration Theory (DRT) which is basically a reverse LTV, etc. i support many of the same things that you do, however, i disagree fundamentally in that i feel it is wrong for people to be allowed to lay claim to property that they do not personally use. if someone else, for example, labors in a factory i claim to own, it isn't right that i should be allowed to lay claim to what they labored to create, repair, or w/e, only to later remunerate them in part for the labor they performed. and before you make this idiotic claim, no, that person cannot seek self-employment. sure, a few can, and more power to them, but most self-employed workers have to compete with corporations who purchase resources in bulk at a much cheaper price and so they can undercut smaller businesses, making it much more difficult to go that route and so most people work for other people and end up being exploited. and no, nobody actually wants to work for a boss:
Quote (J-Breakz)
Oh btw, I work at a corporation and still get to dress however i want, i still swear like a sailor, and get to party any night i want. I just impressed bosses by making sure that i followed through with anything i said i was going to do. Try it!
congratulations. you got lucky with a cool boss. those can be hard to come by. he still takes the majority of the money that you labored to get for him though and so yes, you are a wage slave, and if you have no problem with that, then that's ok with you. i'm still going to continue to fight to make it so that you have a better opportunity for rights and responsibilities on the job. of course i would never force them on you because that is completely against my philosophy. i will probably have to succumb to wage slavery at least for a short time soon myself, and i'm ok with that because i know that, unfortunately, that's how this society operates.
Quote (Treach)
^ thats whats up
no, it's not. it isn't because the United States is one of the only developed country in the world where cooperatives -- as in directly democratically run and owned businesses -- don't employ a majority of the people in the country. around the world, 800 million workers own and run their own businesses democratically with their fellow worker-owners. and most countries do not have nearly the wealth gaps between CEOs and regular workers that the US does. J-Breakz supports a system that would effectively broaden the wealth gap beyond what it currently is in the US. a system in which you would have to pay a toll to use every road, every restroom, every park, every drinking fountain, etc. his ideology is idiotic and he is an asshole when he presents his arguments. don't buy into his bullshit.
