We're putting together a list of top 5 hip hop albums from every year from 1984 all the way up until 2010. we're already doing it in the youtube group but we should use the other networks to contribute to the list too.

the way it will add up is the albums get 5 points if it gets named number 1, 4 points for being named 2, 3 points for number 3, 2 points for number 4 and 1 point for being named number 5 on peoples top 5 lists.

after the lists are drawn the top 2 albums from each year will be put against other albums in a tournament style brackets, we will have votes to see which album will come out as the greatest

5. Common - Finding Forever

Really? I just dont get it..lol

Im editing my top 5 aswell...

2007
Dr.Syntax - Self Taught
Blue Scholars - Bayani
Hocus Pocus - Place 54
Restoring Poetry in Music - Pyramids in Moscow
Panacea - The Scenic Route

I listened to the Blu & Exile album. I loved the beats but im not really feeling the MC (Guessin' its Blu). I dont really know how to explain it 2bh. He sounds like alot of rappers that I dont like.lol Its hard for me to actually pin point exactly what it is about his voice/style tho.

Quote (EmSeeD)
i notice Everglaze seems more into trippy relaxing type music.

Thats exactly what I like.lol

EverGlazed, if you like Wu-Tang you need to check the Cilvaringz' album. People should appreciate it more, that's one of the best albums that came out in 2007 and it has that vintage Wu sound.

i listened to a few of the tracks and tbh i just don't get the appeal. the emcee flows WAAAAAAAAAY too slow, his delivery is boring and monotone as hell, and the beats are mediocre at best. i guess our taste is just very different lol.

I don't get you, dude.
You like mister "I-try-to-be-deep-but-i-FAIL" Vinnie Paz, but not some deep shit like Blue Scholars.
