The #Occupy movement is as close as we've come to a revolution in nearly half a century. It has been a testament to how quickly and effectively this generation can mobilize for an extremely worthy cause. Yet, those same social media networking sites that can bring about such momentum can alter our attention spans negatively, as well, and cause us to quickly forget about issues we should always keep our eyes on. With #OccupyWallStreet protesters facing eviction at the hands of New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg, what are the practical ways for us to raise and maintain awareness? Well, if you're a politically-inclined musician, you create art that discusses the cause and try to spread the word with song. This is my glass-half-full outlook on how we can move from here.
