dude, have you ever tried, just for like one month, to not get into trouble and see how it is? like go out with friends and just hang out without having to steal anything or ditch school or vandalize? have you ever tried going to school and actually trying to learn there for an entire week? i'm not trying to be a dick or sound like a parent, but seriously, just try it sometime and see what you think. see how little stress you have. see how much you can learn and how fascinating a once boring subject can become. go and work your ass off on a project or essay or test, whatever, and see how great it feels to truly accomplish something that you worked really hard on. i think you'll be surprised John. i'm serious. it is a great feeling not to be stressed out because your life is in someone else's hands.

that's good. all i'm saying is that if you find something to hold on to and you just do things to avoid trouble, believe me, you will wake up a whole lot happier and content with yourself. you'll be waking up with a purpose instead of out of habit. find a (legal) niche (hobby) and stick to it. whether it be sports, writing, racing cars (on a track, not a highway like i used to do. lol! we all have our really dumb/dangerous/illegal things we do at some point), or, a suggestion i would make for you, boxing. just something to give you a reason to stop being a detriment to yourself. in fact, if you come back to LA sometime this century, within the same complex as the free recording studio i go to there is a free boxing school/ring. you may want to come check it out. maybe you should play football like i do. that might be just the thing for you. these are just suggestions though. you are going to figure it out for yourself. i personally would be in your same situation now (minus the drugs) if it wasn't for football and i still have SEVERE temper issues, but i'm not behind bars and i am still in school because of 1. heavy parental support which, granted, you have no control over and 2. football and other extracurricular activities.
