yep, there was a major earthquake there last year, the one last year was slightly bigger but because it happened at night the damage wasn't as bad, but this one was in the middle of the day. Also there was this big Cathedral which is Christchurch's landmark and been there for over a hundred years, now been destroyed.

even after the earthquake last year there were aftershocks in the city even months later and now this. i think a lot of people are gonna move out of the city after this. For some reason where i'm at in Auckland we never get hit by anything, never even any floods
