I started in 3rd grade and quit in 6th. I started because of that Viva la bam show, but I was never able to do more than shove it. I couldnt even ollie or drop in
I skated element and element only.
Then in 6th grade my exstepdad chewed me out and told me to get a real job and made me quit.
So then I quit.
But last summer I met some new freinds who skated and I rode around with them.
Skateboarding also got me into my first REAL encounter with the cops.
I spraypainted "R.I.P. Tupac 1996 Eternal" on a wall and they sprayed some stuff, and we were like "Fuck this, this is OUR skate spot".. We knew the cops were coming too. So just to piss them off I turned on my boombox and put on "Stranded on death row" on the Chronic album.
The cop was a black guy. He was like "Oh did you steal this too??? You know im from a gang task force unit and I was on a real call before I had to deal with this crap." and he lectured us for like an hour about how skating was wrong and how rap music was bad.
Then he saw our tags. He read the tupac one and a white cop was there and he was like "Two-pack?" and the black cop was like "Tupac...".
Then I started laughing and the cop was like "What do you find so funny" and I was like "you"
then hes like 'You guys are criminels. Acts like a bird, walks like a bird, its a bird" so i was like....
This one got me in alot of trouble.
"You wear alot of blue, have a gun, you must be in a gang"
That pissed him offfff...
Good times...

Life's a bitch and I'm just along for the ride.

In the US, "he chewed me out" means "he got pissed off and yelled at me." T-Nizzle, I remember all of that stuff. I skated from 4th grade (1996) to 8th grade (2000) and I remember when Bam started with all those pranks in the movies CKY, CKY2K and CKY3. Those were WAAAAY more crazy and graphic than the Jackass shows and movies and Viva La Bam. They were banned in like 8 states. Back then I used to always watch Fulfill the Dream, 411VM, Photosynthesis, etc. I skated Element before they signed Bam because I liked how much concave and pop the boards have, plus they are strong, but when Baker came out they were popular because of Andrew Reynolds. They sucked quality wise though. I then got into Habitat because they were new and good, even better than Element (and Black Label for that matter), but they were vert and I skated street. Because of this I decided to buy from Habitat's sister company Alien Workshop because they were street (skinnier than Habitat). Oh yeah, and I skated Girl for a while too. I think that was because of Geoff Rowley. Does that sound right? I know I'm not the only serious skater in here.
