I don't think publicity stunt would be the right thing to call it. because leagues like the NFL or NBA don't really need anymore publicity, it is more for fan enjoyment and rewarding skilled players. now if you were to call the talent all-star shit a publicity stunt i'd agree with you. stupid ass dwight howard wearing superman outfits and dancing around like a retarded grown man to an even dumber kid's music definitely causes enough publicity to draw the attention of people who don't even watch the NBA.
dwight needs to learn it was funny and cool the first time you did it, now you just got sonned by nate robinson... time to pull some tricks out the bag, start doing the soulja boy stanky leg or yah bitch yah and rock a batman suit.
