i dont even want to know HOW that idea came into your head.......

would you rather face speaking in public in front of a large crowd, or face death

(apparently the #1 fear is public speaking followed by death)

And then at the fireplace with its flickering light
And realised why this world will never be right

would you rather be naked infront of all your family and friends, or be tortured for a week

Naked.

Would you rather commit all of the biblical sins and be thrown into a fiery pit below the earth for eternity or remain celebate for life (including no jerking off or any other sort of sexual activity) and be rewarded somewhere above the clouds with an eternity of pleasure completely free of pain and suffering? biggrin

The latter obviously....and when you said "somewhere above the clouds" now I understand why you disagree with Christianity. You don't take it seriously.

It was a joke. I took Christianity seriously for 18 years and then started to question it because I didn't get it. I remember thinking "man, I want to be saved so bad." I would go and be "saved" every time I went to church or saw an evangelical on the streets and everyone would talk about feeling "saved" and I wanted to feel that so bad, but I felt disappointed every time I did. I always wondered "why am I not able to feel this?" It was depressing. I even used to associate the word "atheist" with "criminal." The way I was raised they were pretty much synonymous to me. This was until I discovered Rakim, Wu Tang, etc., and through them I found out about the Nation of Gods and Earths and that was my catalyst into my spiritual awakening. Ever since, things make so much more sense (while in a strange way nothing makes sense anymore. You'd have to get into my mind to understand it). That is all. I definitely take religion seriously. This was just a little joke.

kk man, i misunderstood

...but keep in mind, joking about Christianity can be dangerous if you do it all the time. i know many atheists that don't take it seriously

No, that's not me. Most of my friends/family are Christians. I wouldn't disrespect. I joke about it very sparingly. In fact, this is the only time I can think of. Sorry if you were offended. sad
