we've probably done a review on this before idk.But i always ignored this albulm a long time ago and i finally listened to it a couple weeks ago and...the songs were beautiful, seemed well produced and esp. well written.black Milk was just stupid retarded great on the beats and Elzhi should been winning fucking awards for his lyrical techniques.I fell in love with talking in my sleep, DEMONS,motown 25 despite of the shitty verse royce gave...sounded high and drunk on that song.Anyway i would give the production 95% and the lyrical content 90%.

....

Best album of 2008 along with "Sahpeshifters" by Invincible (another Detroit release). Man, the D ran shit in 2008, specifically Black Milk. He carried 08 on his back by himself. He was on so many pivotal releases of last year it's ridiculous. Also big ups to Wajeed for holding his own in 08 on the majority of the production for "Shapeshifters." Favorite track from this album: "The Leak," "Demons," "Talking in my Sleep"..... Fuck man, I can't pick favorite tracks because all of the ones I liked I liked equally but for different reasons! I can tell you which I though were a little sub par in comparison to the rest of the album. The one with Phat Kat, the one with Black Milk rapping on it (not because of his verse though. Black is a dope emcee too), and half of "Motown 25" (you already know which half). Dope ass album nonetheless.

i don't think he writes his lyrics. or at least he didn't on the song "Losin Out" with Royce. but yeah black milk owned in 08, he had his own album too which i've heard was good but i haven't listened to it.

Quoted for absolute truth. Black Milk's production on this was just straight ridiculous retarted man. Overall, I'll give the album 88% dopeness. Definately one of the better releases of '08.

Only god can judge me.
