Hittman was supposed to be Dr. Dre's new protege from the 2001 album featuring on almost every track the same way Snoop Dogg was on The Chronic. Hittman was supposed to release his album on Aftermath in 2000 but like so many other artists on Aftermath it never came out, the reason was that they couldn't see it having a "hit single" so they shelved the album. Hittman then left Aftermath late in 2001. He didn't release much music other than the Murda Weapon bootleg that came out around 2001/02, which featured many of the unreleased tracks from his aftermath album. He did release Hittmanic Verses in 2006 on SickBay Records which featured many of the same tracks as Murda Weapon but not as much and had one or two different tracks. The album would have been a sequel to Dr. Dre's 2001 having the same sound as that album and featuring many of the same guest appearances the same way Doggystyle was a sequel to The Chronic with the same guest appearances. Not all tracks are great or finished but there definitely are some good tracks on here that are worth checking out, its a shame it wasn't released even though it might not have had any hit singles i think it still could have been a classic, it doesn't have to have hit singles to be a classic.
