Gutter Rainbows is the new album from Talib Kweli and unlike his others this album has been put out on his own independant label Blacksmith Records I've only gone through the album once, so far the album is around as good as his last release Revolutions Per Minute. Lyrically Talib is killing this album, his flow does sound a lot better to me on this album, he flows a lot faster than he's flowed in the past.
Favourite tracks so far are: Palookas produced by Marco Polo, Mr International I'm On One & Cold Rain, i think Cold Rain is easily the stand out track.
I wasn't feeling the opening three tracks After The Rain, Gutter Rainbows & So Low so much, i found the chorus to be kinda annoying on So Low and the production was a bit boring, but the album really picked up after that song with Palookas, Mr International, I'm On One & Cold Rain.
So far this is a good album from Talib, i don't think it will be album of the year or anything but still a decent album, i still have to listen to it more though
