Pete Rock & Smif-N-Wessun released this collab album just this week, i was a bit sceptical since i thought all these guys were past their prime, but from these tracks i've heard this album sounds like the best i've heard from 2011 so far, i have missed out though but some of these pete rock beats are sick, i'm sure there are even better tracks on the album too

Pete Rock and Smif N Wessun "Monumental" featuring Pete Rock and Tyler Woods by duckdown

Pete Rock & Smif N Wessun "Prevail" feat. Raekwon by duckdown

you might think this song is boring, but this really grew on me, i really like the simplicity of this track, i just don't like raekwons part

Pete Rock and Smif N Wessun "Roses" feat. Freeway by duckdown

I've heard the full album about a week ago, and god damn, Pete Rock kills it with the beats.

You'll know when you hear "Roses"

dope album overall but it doesnt have too many memorable stand-out tracks. and too many features!

Forgettable album, no stand-out tracks. Pete said he studied S-N-W's debut album to bring the similar sounding beats. I think he got the wrong album lol Monu-Mental has NOTHING in common with Dah Shinin'.

If you want a dope album from 2011, pick Reks' R.E.K.S. or Neek The Exotic and Large Pro's Still On The Hustle.

Neek's lyrics are pretty average but Large Pro brought instrumentals as dope as the ones he had on his solo album "The LP".

This.
Neek shouldn't be getting those beats. Those beats are too good for him.
