i don't think it is because they don't understand wordplay. people vote for me when i come with crazy wordplay. check the battle archives. some of our best battles have complex ass wordplay. i made a verse that was a cycle and alluded all this shit to cycles talking about "i come back around and kill you twice" type shit and it was metaphorical as hell and people liked it. i tied that battle though because my opponent was raw as fuck (me and him are the only two people here over 3 wins that are undefeated).
