Instead, we are counting a full line as one bar... If you are confused... check out some of the other battles and just mimic the prose format or rhyme scheme...

1 bar = the musical equivalent on 1 line. In most cases 1 bar is 4 counts and most lines in hip hop (unless we are talking a strange case where someone makes the beat differently or the emcee is rhyming off beat) are 4 counts as well which means that 1 line is the vocal equivalent of 1 bar. Don't believe me? Take music theory. Now, back to the battle.
