everything DOOM does is to fit his persona. remember, he's a sly, comedic villain. his flow is almost snake-like. dude raps, literally, like a sly crook. but he's so much more than a crook; he's the super-villain. and even if you don't like his delivery (which, i'll admit, took me a LONG time to get used to) i don't really see how anyone can deny his lyrical genius if they are a true fan of hip hop. i'm not saying you can't, but i just can't see how you can. i mean seriously, shit like this, imo, is unfuckwitable:

on second thought it's too thick/
his assistant said "DOOM, you sick"/
he said "true through acoustics"...."
or how about his occasional subliminal disses to wack rappers:

and DOOM doesn't want to have the game on lock. he wants more than that lol!:

and like i said, he uses lyrics and everything to fit his super-villain persona. check this simile out. it describes him perfect while also being a classic example of braggadocio rap with an MF DOOM twist:

jus to cool her off she said niggaz ain't about shit"
in case you don't know who DB Cooper is, he was the guy who robbed a bank and asked for a plane, got it, but crashed the plane and was never seen again and there was a bunch of money missing. the idea is that people think he may have gotten away with the money. DOOM is lightyears ahead of most emcees, lyrically at least. that is hard to deny.
