Former Black Knights MC who had a relatively conventional style in his early days with the group as The Holocaust, abandoned the potentially offensive name and became Warcloud, popular for his ultra-detailed multi-layered poetry, and correct english pronounciations. Has a limp in his walk due to a truck accident many years ago during a lone visit to Japan. Warcloud has become the subject of much recent debate due to the sudden change in his rhyme style. Although his lyrics are still largely "multi-layered and ultra-detailed", his execution is a far more off-beat, more avant-garde, free association verse incorporating allusions to classical literature (especially horror, children's stories and poems) urban legends, myths, Western Americana and to a lesser degree popular culture. He refers to this new style as “Old Jail Pajama Room”, as opposed to his old style which is “Mixed Forest Zone”.

Discography:

Quote

Nightmares That Surface From Shallow Sleep is the first of two now legendary "street tapes" that were intended originally to spread the word about the West Coast Wu's lyrical giant, The Holocaust, by this time renamed Warcloud to galvanize a fanbase for his officially released albums that never actually happened. And so these compilations of earthshattering lyrical styles and tripped-out grimey beats became the only standing testimonials to the true greatness of this underground artist. Featured here alongside him are The Black Knights, Da Monstar Mob, Northstar and Suga Bang. The producer and creator of most of this incredible music is none other than Mix Jive the Skarekrow, of Monstar Mob.

And finally before I drop some music, here's one last fan bio...

[OPINION]

Warcloud is known for conjuring vivid images/scenes, making references to movies, food, childrens books, you name it. His free verse pattern is genius in a way. Not only that, but his ryhme scheme is far different and unique from other rappers, it sets him apart.

[EXAMPLE]

From the hells of the pacific, I bring fury and anger, stab a devil in a chest with a rusty pirate ship anchor.

How do you think of THAT!!!? That's Warcloud my friend and thats tight to me!!

I picture a hi-tech war in the far future, the sky bright and blue over a hardpan dessert, warpaths from huge alien like air crafts and a feel of apocalyptic warzone theme to it. Warcloud is by far one of my favorite underground rappers. Especially, in the time when he made Nightmares That Surface From Shallow Sleep and Smuggling Booze In The GraveYard. Respectively, in retrospect, Bastard Swordsman and Holocaust Silk Worm from the Bobby Digital immersed and lured me into his ungodly, multi-layered rap style. Much love and respect goes to Warcloud if he ever reads this. You don't want to sleep on those two albums I've mentioned.

^I only wanted to include his solo work in the discography section because this 'Artist Introduction' doesn't include the American Poets. I may post some of their work later on.

Im telling yall, dont sleep on this crack head bum. he looks and often times sounds very crazy but there arent many in rap who IMO match his vocab, stroytelling, and sheer knowledge of random useless facts that he throws into his rhymes. By far the most creative rapper doing it.
