He is getting better, but it's like watching a flower grow, and I'm an impacieMOOnt cow. I especially am not gonna have patience for a rapper, who like meth said, raps about nothing.

Quote (Adam) Nas has never boasted about being lyrical. "Nas is like.." Sex to a nympho, but nothin sweet I'm like beef, bustin heat through your windows I'm like a street sweeper, greenleaf reaper Like Greeks in Egypt, learnin somethin deep from they teachers I'm like crime, like your nine, your man you would die for Always got you, I'm like Pop Duke you would cry for I'm like a whole lot of loot, I'm like crisp money Corporate accounts from a rich company I'm like ecstasy for ladies, I'm like all races combined in one man; like the '99 summer jam Bulletproof Hummer man I'm like being locked down around new faces, and none of em fam' I'm the feelin of a millionaire spendin a hundred grand I'm a poor man's dream, a thug poet Live it, and I write down and I watch it blow up Y'all know what I'm like, y'all play it your system every night Now.. i win

I require a huge spectrum of flavors to survive so I'll easily accept what Canibus offers. A friend put Poet Laureate II on a mixtape for me last year and I thought it was a hot sound. Never looked into his other works until this topic. I can see what some of you are saying. His lyrics sound like he's going through a rhyme dictionary, choosing random intelligent-sounding words and writing sentence that end with them. But sometimes music is just about the sound, to me at least. Long story short - I was born into music, lessons, etc. Around my 20th year I finally realized that I could listen to a piece without counting it, without seeing the patterns and how they interact, without hearing it as structures. Now when I listen to something new I try to hear the overall feeling and ignore the technicals. Try this.

"Liquid filled boots is how they walked across the moon without leaving a clue" "we are the elohim, gods and goddesses" He is a great rapper without doubt! plus he sounds like a raelian believer to me! And i give props for all weird ass beliefs in rap-lyrics! Truth is some rappers if they had no rap skills would be dressed in an aluminium cap holding a crayon sign in times square. Country singers would be smooching little piggies I admit he can be a little bit to much at times.
I want to see great battles and cyphers so i go crazy again and cant explain what Im feeling!

To me, Canibus and Afu-Ra are very similar in the way that they use big words that usually dont make sense with the rest of their line: Afu-Ra: "Paraplegic, my fightin' stance too strategic" "Lyrical assassinate like toxic waste" Therefore i dont listen to either of them.

Canibus has gotten better this recent year. His last 2 releases were solid comeback albums.
