Well today the seventh grade went on a field trip to go see a play at georgia tech...while i was the bus listening to my music. My friends wanted to listen to what i was listening to...
(i was listening to some slum village and j-dilla)they said "that is striaght wack","that music u listening to is gay music","u have nothing on your MP3","slow rapping is for faggots"...i was pissed off in the inside but just laughing at them at the outside. But for god sakes they were listening to some gucci mane like crazy and some dude named "OJ the juiceman"(LOL WTF) So what do yall think about the ignorance of my peers?Do u see how music in the mainstream today affect kids my age.

man, i feel bad for you. sure, kids your age tend more towards the mainstream everywhere, but here in Cali i know a TON of kids your age and maybe a little older who listen to nothing but underground/golden age shit. next time they bring it up, like if you are walking somewhere and remember your "gay" music, tell them "this is the music the older cats listen to. y'all listen to little kid bullshit music. no one over 18 listens to faggot ass Wayne and Gucci Fag." they'll shut up. either that or they will try to say their older brother or dad listen to that shit and that's when you say "well, obviously your older brother/dad is a fag" biggrin

I had a similar experience. A couple of my friends were pestering me about my music, since I almost never let them listen to it, so I showed them. I let them listen for a while and one said she really liked it, but others were like , "WTF IS THIS? WHO IS THIS KID? WHATS AN MF DOOM? IS J DILLA SUPPOSE TO BE SEXUAL TERM??" I just sighed and never mentioned let them listen again. I don't care anymore what people think.

Because I'm cool like dat. I'm chill like dat. I'm peace like dat.

yeah i don't think thats a good choice to get people to start listening coz he's one of those artists where you have to listen a few times to get to like him.

lol when someone listens to my ipod they just try to be polite and go oh..., "or got any akon?" or don't say anything, some people like it though. a while ago my aunty was listening to random songs on it and she usually hates old school stuff but now Paid In Full is one of her fave songs.
