arthur baker also made rap o clap o,disco/rap with joe bataan that would have actually been the first recorded rap before rappers delight or the king tim but it wasn't released till about late 79 after those two but was recorded earlier so most wont consider it the first rap..the first Rap Disco hit with a smooth disco rhythm, joe had to sell it for $1 to the record lable just to get it out there and it did work. i dont know for sure if it chart domestically, but it went top 10 throughout Europe. Rap-O Clap-O was accredited as the first Rap song in Europe but very underrated in hip hop history.

LadyChinita, Wow, I didn't know that, I'm wrecked after all that hacker bidnizz, but I'm gonna hunt for that track 2moro, as I'm pretty sure its not on YouTube (I'm the only one whos got Battle Cry, just me & urbanVibess but I gave him his B&W version of my vid), cant wait to hear it, & if its reasonably okay, its a must to post it.
