i've heard people say that trip hop is not hip hop, although it is related. this is mainly fans of Portishead or the Gorillaz who despise hip hop and don't wish for this to be true. i disagree. i say that the entire genre of trip hop is as hip hop as Public Enemy and KRS-One, just not as recognized for it. while you contemplate this, sooth your ears with some mellow trip hop sounds:
