dude, how can you make a comment on going to art school or doing art classes when you haven't done it? You don't put your art in a box, you learn how to do things you wouldn't have otherwise learned if you didn't go. That way you can learn how other artists do it so that you can not only make music as well as them but learn what they do and exceed their art. For example, my writing would suck right now if it wasn't for my creative writing classes. Check my poem "White Man" and compare it to my more recent poetry. When it comes to how well it is written, "White Man" sucks. If you can't see that, then you really don't know much about writing.

yeah i would learn a lot a lot faster if i went to art school, but i don't want to spend the money coz i know i can learn it myself, just not as fast. i'm only talking about doing art, painting, drawing etc not the writing lyrics.

I don't really know. I don't believe in school or teachings when it comes to something in the art category. I mean I can write one hell of a story, and I have I've had around 5 or so of my like old 7th grade stories named the best out of competitions and then put on websites all around, even though thats kind of childish at that time. I just don't find it hard to be articulate. But I do have an amazing imagination. Like really just out of here. I won't go into that, but I think it just takes a quick mind, and the ability to self critic. I don't need some art teacher telling my circle is an oval. Or the hair on this woman isn't supposed to made out of raid bottles. Or rats aren't supposed to shit out snakes in this wildlife still portrait. Writing is something I do off and on. I don't take seriously at all. I'm a drawer.

Illustrator man I wish, I only bearly get illustrator :( Although these I made in illustrator

Nah actually funny story behind that. Well its actually not so funny and short. I saw eyar's avatar and it was really just so out of it. I couldn't stop looking at it, because it was just to damn crazy. So I went and got something hopefully weirder, because well I wanted something weirder B) Nah but abstract art like that is so beautiful to me... I just love it so much. I got some purely painted sigs I did way back

You know, John Lennon never went to music school and people consider the Beatles music some of the best pop music ever, but a question that always comes up is how much greater would The Beatles have been if they would have gone to school? The music they make is great, but none of them were ever thought of as outstanding musicians. Why? Well, we can only speculate, but with the abilities they had without going to any school whatsoever, it is likely that they would have tightened up their technique and became some of the greatest musicians to ever live. And if you think most great artists don't go to art school, think again. Louis Armstrong, 2pac, and even Mobb Deep went to art school. And many artists take lessons even after they become famous. Dr. Dre studies playing piano from Burt Bacharach. Your beloved Kanye West (only kidding with the "beloved" thing :D ) takes voice lessons with the world's most renowned voice coach (I know this because my sister takes lessons with his understudy). People even very often wonder how much greater Quentin Tarantino would be if he would have went to film school. Most great poets, musicians, directors, actors, writers, painters, etc., go to art school. There are only a handful of prodigies in each category in the history of that art form that don't and they could definitely improve if they were to go. The thing is that people who don't do art school usually end up missing out on certain important information that inhibits their abilities. Yeah, sure, anyone can write, anyone can draw, etc., but no one can reach their full potential without actually studying the subject with people who have a breadth of knowledge on the topic that would be very hard to learn otherwise.
