I was listening to the song "Moment of Truth" and I was thinking about some of the beats Premo has used for Gang Starr, and wondering how other emcee's like Nas etc would have sounded over those same beats, the beat for Nas Is Like could have easily ended up on a Gang Starr album, apparently Guru was mad Premo let Nas have that beat, but i wonder if it would have sounded better or worse if it had Guru rapping on it? Do you think some of Premo's beats actually don't get enough love or would get more love if it had Nas rapping on it instead? and i'm wondering if some beats are a bit overrated coz it has a dope emcee rapping on it, like the beat Nas Is Like a lot of people have that as one of their fave premo beats but when i was listening to Moment of Truth the beat sounds a lot similar or at least on the same level as Nas Is Like, so i wonder what Moment of Truth would sound like if it has Nas rapping on that instead? Anyway i think Guru actually does make some beats sound better because he has a good way of flowing over certain beats and good rhythm, anyway this was making me think why aren't there more premo mixtapes, everyone is doing Dilla mixtapes now but there aren't that many people doing Premo mixtapes, they could possibly make the premo beats that didn't get as much love sound a lot better it would be interesting, anyway this turned out as more of a blog but w/e :D

Do you think some premo beats don't get enough love?

Do you think some premo beats get too much attention?

that sounds a lot better than most of the beats tupac rapped on, i do find his voice a bit annoying though to be honest

they could have been a lethal combination

I'm not sure.. Personally I loved hearing Pac on tracks like Old School, Dear Mama, Keep Ya Head Up, Unconditional Love, Until the End of Time, Shed so Many Tears and well.. A lot of others.. This isn't bad though and I'll probably get the mixtape but am not sure if Premo + Pac is the best combination, can't believe you don't like Pac's voice though :o

i don't like the way he stretches out the words at the end of the sentences eg. "when we ride on our eneMEEEEEZZZ" "blah blah blah blah BLAHHHHH" its like someone gives him a fright while he's rapping
