i listen to music i like, something that feels good or puts me in a certain vibe or mood. sometimes i'll want music that's loud or angry and sometimes i'll want something that's chill. i don't listen to much mainstream music because most of it is too generic, shit that you know even the artists themselves don't even like but they had to make it to get a radio single. and most of mainstream is way too unoriginal for me, i like listening to music that's creative, i think what makes real music real music is the fact that the music was made for the love of the music and not the money.

I listen to real hip hop cuz its good music. The producers take elements of R&B, Soul, and funk and mash it all together to make an interesting piece of work. And the MCs are usually sayin somethin clever and fun to hear. I listen to a lot of mainstream hip hop and r&b too i guess. Mostly 90s mainstream. To tell u the truth I dont know much underground r&b lol

livin life like some cheesy movie

I like music that I can identify with.. I started out listening to electronic music, house, techno type shit.. and some punk stuff.. All the while i messed with Dr. Dre the Chronic album.. Then I moved into the realm of Wu Tang Clan, and never looked back.. Hip Hop that was creative, and had wild lyrics and music with feeling.. whether jazz blues or electronic oriented, it just had to sound dope to get my attention.

listening to electronic music is my all time fav tho. Always loved the Beasties, and Invisibl Skratch Pikelz.. Groups like Monsta Island Czars and Jedi Mind Tricks they just have this raw appeal.. it's like u can tell their early works were done in a basement or a bedroom, I don't mean that they sound shitty or something.. just got that whole city rough raw feeling to it. I can relate. I certainly don't live in paradise. I'm in a row house in North Philly..
someone got murdered on my block at 4 am a couple days ago... its a fuckin jungle out here...
