Quote (TheWatcher) Exactly I haven't really checked those mixtapes out though. of course you haven't all your opinions of budden are based on the fact he dissed Method Man. As far as i'm concerned that beef ended when Raekwon punched him in the eye, i don't like the fact he dissed Method Man but i know lyrically Joe Budden is far from garbage

I've checked out a fair bit of his tracks, including all his verses on the Slaughterhouse album (easily the weakest member). For one thing the dude sounds like he's both falling asleep & taking a shit on the mic at the same time. I don't know whether it's because he's still the same old angel-dust-sniffing-choir-boy he used to be or because his brain is still out of order since back then. Dude's got some issues and it shows on the mic, he's practically drooling. You'd think being in a group with 3 other emcees would force you to step up your game but it didn't. But yes, I am a Wu-Tang fan and I would take Wu-Tang over Budden any day, Budden is garbage in comparison and needs to get away from Slaughterhouse and start doing some tracks with Wayne & Drake, he'll come of like the most lyrical motherfucker on planet earth next to Wayne and his shit won't sound nearly as bad.

Joe Budden's not garbage to me, but he's less than spectacular. i mean Phil Da Ag could run laps around him and that's basically what this whole argument was about. Joe Budden doesn't belong in Slaughterhouse. he brings the group down. he's like Slaughterhouse's U-God.

Watcher let me put it to you this way Joe Budden>>>>>>Raekwon, U-God and maybe even Ghostface, i'm not even a Joe Budden fan so don't even go down that route, but i'm unbiased enough to know Joe Budden isn't garbage, yes i think Joe is the least lyrical from Slaughterhouse, and he isn't top 10 or top 20 to me, but that doesn't make him garbage. and you don't just hate on Joe Budden you hate on all of Slaughterhouse, you hated on all 4 members simply because one of the members dissed Method Man.

Quote (Lord_Meth) Its universally accepted that Joe Budden is weak...He gets acknowledged cuz of his Mood Musik mixtapes i hold no judgment until i hear at least a full album. he is neither whack nor hot in my mind. im sure the cats in slaughterhouse think hes hot. might be universally accepted that hes a bitch tho lol. catching feeling the way he did on web tv and being socked in the face LOLAdded (11/Feb/10, 2:57 Am) ---------------------------------------------
Quote (EmSeeD) Watcher let me put it to you this way Joe Budden>>>>>>Raekwon, U-God and maybe even Ghostface, damn do you really think this? dude i aint heard too much budden but all i know is intro verse to CREAM trumps his entire life LOL. U god intro verse to da mystery of chess boxin fuckin cripples budden and gives joebudden tv.com a fuckin virus it will never come back form. and come on now, depending on how you look at it ghost is either not very lyrical or one of the most lyrical MCs doin it. hes fallen off a lil bit but supreme, ironman...need i say more. what more do you need. i really hope that was just some sick joke lol. also Triumph aka one of the best joints in hip hop history. yeah thats right. please provide one track that budden does that stacks up to some of there whackest shit

Quote (eboyd) really? i'm going to have to vehemently disagree. The first song is horribly eq'd. You hear more bass from the needle going across the vinyl in the sample then the kick or music sampled. It sounds like he didn't even eq it at all. I can't blast a song in my car cuz all u hear is a random ass bass tone. it sounds okay on headphones but not in the car

at least be fair (and i think Rae is pretty much mediocre at best as well)... I grew up on the crime side, the New York Times side Staying alive was no jive Had second hands, moms bounced on old man So then we moved to Shaolin land A young youth, yo rockin the gold tooth, 'Lo goose Only way, I begin to G' off was drug loot And let's start it like this son, rollin with this one And that one, pullin out gats for fun But it was just a dream for the teen, who was a fiend Started smokin woolies at sixteen And running up in gates, and doing hits for high stakes Making my way on fire escapes No question I would speed, for cracks and weed The combination made my eyes bleed No question I would flow off, and try to get the dough off Sticking up white boys in ball courts My life got no better, same damn 'Lo sweater Times is rough and tough like leather Figured out I went the wrong route So I got with a sick tight clique and went all out Catchin keys from across seas Rollin in MPV's, every week we made forty G's Yo brothas respect mine, or anger the tech nine Ch-POW! Move from the gate now but of course let's be fair again. this is probably Rae's best verse and he gets out shined on the track by Deck: It's been 22 long hard years and still strugglin Survival got me buggin, but I'm alive on arrival I peep at the shape of the streets And stay awake to the ways of the world cause shit is deep A man with a dream with plans to make C.R.E.A.M. Which failed; I went to jail at the age of 15 A young buck sellin drugs and such who never had much Trying to get a clutch at what I could not touch The court played me short, now I face incarceration Pacin', going up state's my destination Handcuffed in back of a bus, 40 of us Life as a shorty shouldn't be so rough But as the world turns I learned life is Hell Living in the world, no different from a cell Everyday I escape from Jakes givin chase, sellin base Smokin bones in the staircase Though I don't know why I chose to smoke sess I guess that's the time when I'm not depressed But I'm still depressed, and I ask what's it worth? Ready to give up so I seek the Old Earth Who explained working hard may help you maintain to learn to overcome the heartaches and pain We got stickup kids, corrupt cops, and crack rocks and stray shots, all on the block that stays hot Leave it up to me while I be living proof To kick the truth to the young black youth But shorty's running wild, smokin sess, drinkin beer And ain't trying to hear what I'm kickin in his ear Neglected for now, but yo, it gots to be accepted That what? That life is hectic
