I want to add a simple little scratch of an mp3 sample to a song I've made. I tried the turntable thing in Fruity Loops. Maybe it's just the default settings but it sounds really fake to me. I also searched Google and downloaded Virtual DJ and VirtualDek. Virtual DJ may be good enough to get the sounds I want. I'll have the time to play it more this weekend. VirtualDek wouldn't load after install. I'm wondering what software-based turntable programs you've used or know of that you could recommend? I don't expect anything to make my mouse on a desk as precise as my fingertips on wax, but what's the best they've made so far?

Boycott softwares, and boycott digital downloading. Their destroying the music scene. I got a feeling in 2 or 3 years, we wont buy cd's anymore. Only digital download music, or illegal downloading. So that means albums (cd albums) will be on amazon for like 50 dollars, since their gonna become "rare". Save up money, and buy a real turntable

MainStream, Thanks. I'll hit that site this weekend and play around. HopHead, provide me with a cheap alternative to a record press and I'll consider joining your boycott.
