A classic hip hop album for me is an album that brings something new or re-invents an older style making it more unique and pretty much making that style there own. as well as being able to listen to every song on the album without skipping. 3 albums i consider classic and always pop into my head when ever the conversation comes up are: Nas- Illmatic Notorious BIG- Ready to Die Jedi Mind Tricks- Violent By Design
A WELL DRESSED SKELETON SLOWLY CUTS YOUR THROAT. "I Have No Fear Whatsoever of Anybody or Anything" -Malcolm X “those who consider themselves the most adamant adherents of “real” hip-hop can also be the least knowledgeable.” –Adilifu Nama; an excert from his perception of Nas’s “Genesis”

a classic album is one thats consistant all the way through, it can't have more than 1 bad track and can still be dope a decade later. and it has to have dope production, it can have ok lyrics but if the production is dope as hell then the album is dope also if it has a creative concept or theme in at least some of the songs, not just songs about the same old shit
