 He never was a dumb fool. He just made some really dumb decisions. I think this act was genuine. It's good that he at least tries to use his publicity to make a positive change sometimes.
He did this, he had that show about gang kids or whatever, he did that ATL movie which had a sorta Boyz in the Hood/Stop the violence feel to it, he has a few positive songs (that one with Justin Timberlake, that song Live in the sky, and some other song off Trap Muzik)... It's just a shame that he seems to not realize this: anything, and I mean ANYTHING he does gains publicity, good or bad, but the bad easily gets more publicity. I'm sure he's done plenty of good, it's just the media needs stories, so they naturally are going to go after the juicy ones. I can't blame them.
