If it wasnt for the first MC on this track, I believe it could be a contender
man, that first verse was hot! that was either Imani or Bootie Brown, i always get them confused. either way, that first verse sets the vibe for the track! "now in my younger days i used to sport a shaaaaaaaaag!/when i went to school i carried lunch in a bag!/with an apple for my teacher 'cause i knew i'd get a kiss/always got mad when the class was dismissed". you didn't like that verse??? man......
either way, Fatlip delivered one of, i'd argue, the top 5 verses in the history of hip hop here:
"my dear my dear my dear you do not know me but i know you very well/now let me tell you 'bout these feelings i feel for you when i try/or make some sort of attempt. i symp/damn i wish i wasn't such a wimp!/'cause then i would let you know that i love you so and if i was your man then i would be true/the only lying i would do is in the bed with you"
fucking ridiculous!!!!
yeah, that track is definitely a contender, and i'm not just saying that because i know Fatlip. he writes some of the most relatable verses in hip hop history. even the verses he recently recorded over Unite C's beat is extremely relatable. dude is a fucking genius!

Camp Lo - Coolie High
i'd personally take "Luchini" over "Coolie High":

Common - Chapter 13 (Rich Man vs. Poor Man)
if i'm saying anything from Common it's "Resurrection", "I Used To Love H.E.R.", "The Light", or "Sixth Sense".
anyways, i think this thread needs some Slum Village
