I dont think anyone could argue with you there man.
I think there are a few tunes that come close, and on some days i'd pick em over TROY...

If it wasnt for the first MC on this track, I believe it could be a contender

Cant forget this shit...

This has gotta be up there...

Some other obvious contenders...
Wutang - Cream
Camp Lo - Coolie High
The Fugees - fu-gee-la
Souls of Mischief - 93 till infinity
Common - Chapter 13 (Rich Man vs. Poor Man)

man, that first verse was hot! that was either Imani or Bootie Brown, i always get them confused. either way, that first verse sets the vibe for the track! "now in my younger days i used to sport a shaaaaaaaaag!/when i went to school i carried lunch in a bag!/with an apple for my teacher 'cause i knew i'd get a kiss/always got mad when the class was dismissed". you didn't like that verse??? man......

either way, Fatlip delivered one of, i'd argue, the top 5 verses in the history of hip hop here:

"my dear my dear my dear you do not know me but i know you very well/now let me tell you 'bout these feelings i feel for you when i try/or make some sort of attempt. i symp/damn i wish i wasn't such a wimp!/'cause then i would let you know that i love you so and if i was your man then i would be true/the only lying i would do is in the bed with you"

fucking ridiculous!!!!

yeah, that track is definitely a contender, and i'm not just saying that because i know Fatlip. he writes some of the most relatable verses in hip hop history. even the verses he recently recorded over Unite C's beat is extremely relatable. dude is a fucking genius!

Camp Lo - Coolie High

i'd personally take "Luchini" over "Coolie High":

Quote (EverGlazed)
Common - Chapter 13 (Rich Man vs. Poor Man)

if i'm saying anything from Common it's "Resurrection", "I Used To Love H.E.R.", "The Light", or "Sixth Sense".

anyways, i think this thread needs some Slum Village :)

Jay Dee era:

post-Jay Dee:

and here's something i heard last night. Elzhi's verses are fucking GODLY!:

idk if i'd call those my all time favs, but the last few months i've been feeling that type of shit.

I don't have the patience to go through and post YT videos (yet I have the patience to post retarded pictures..).
So I shall compile a short list of songs which I find to be my favorites. In no particular order...

Nas-It ain't hard to tell
Tupac-Lord Knows, Violent
Eminem- As the world turns, If I had, 313
Supernatural-Mind tricks the body
Immortal Technique- Industrial Revolution, Poverty of Philosophy
ICP (Bash me. I don't care.)- Fuck the world, Chickin Huntin
Pharcyde- clouds, passin my by (they have better songs but that song has a special spot in my heart.)
ATCQ- Buggin out
GZA- Swordsman
Snoop- Lodi Dodi (I know it's not HIS song, but he puts that spin on it and it makes the whole thing incredibly fucking awesome)

So many more. I'm too lazy to post.

Life's a bitch and I'm just along for the ride.

Its not the verse that I dont like, its the guys voice!!lol Its horrible man, sick verse or not...

Luchini gets a little repetitive dont ya think? I used to love it, and it will always be a great party track for me.
Fair enough tho man...

And again, fair enough with Common. Everyone's got their fave's and picks for GOAT...

Ive never really been a fan of Slum Village, not really my thing.

This is the ultimate party track, and one of my all time faves...
