Long Beach-born rapper Nathaniel Hale -- Nate Dogg -- dies at 41

Recording artist had suffered two strokes in recent years.

Nathaniel Hale, who performed as Nate Dogg, died Tuesday. He was 41. (Elektra Records)
LONG BEACH — Nathaniel D. Hale, known in the music industry as Nate Dogg, died Tuesday, his family announced.
The rap star, born and reared in Long Beach, Calif. was 41.
Cause of death is not known. However, Hale had suffered two strokes, one in 2007 and another in 2008.
Details will be available later.

its hard, we just lost Guru now we loose Nate Dogg, i always saw people like these like giants, like they will never fall, but everyone dies at one time the only regret is most of them die too young, Nate Dogg will live on trough his music. RIP

The man recently had a third stroke that they didn't tell the media about. I'm guessing it had something to do with that. I only know because of my contacts at Temple of Hiphop. They were getting ready to do a Kool Herc/Nate Dogg fund raiser album because both of them lacked the funds to pay for their medical bills. I guess this changes things in regards to that. RIP to one of the greatest!

Btw, It still ain't no fun if the homies can't have none!
