tupac was who got me interested in politics... i watched alot of his interviews in middle school and at the time, i had never heard anyone speak on such issues. he was the first person who got me looking into shit like racism, sexism, economics, etc.
he got me into hiphop.

"Hit 'em Up" is quite possibly the worst well known diss song of all time. compare it to any of these disses:

yeah, though this interview shows he was actually right, 2pac was a thug, alcatraz was still an asshole though

that who shot ya chino diss is fucking wack as hell wtf, his other one was ok though. the only diss track of those i like is Commons The Bitch In Yoo, GZA's one was ok but nothing special

most disses aren't very good musically, but Chino XL's "Who Shot Ya" diss wasn't wack. listen to the words. the flow was off, the recording isn't great, etc., but that's because he recorded it live on the Wake Up Show and wasn't focused on having a dope flow, he was just trying to get what he was saying off his chest. he had some dope diss lines though. with that GZA track, the delivery was extremely bland, but lyrically he destroyed 50 Cent.

what other disses would you say were dope? "Hit 'em Up" was one of the worst disses in hip hop and most hip hop heads agree with that.

now that i listen again very very closely, the disses are pretty good but its too bad the flow was so garbage, i couldn't even understand what he was saying unless i listen very closely, i guess he would have recorded a proper version of that song if 2pac hadn't died

other disses i'd say are dope, Ether, Takeover, The Ripper Strikes Back, Air Strike, No Vaseline, Pimp Slapped, Poorly Promote This, Acknowledge,

i didn't mention that because 1. only the 3rd verse was dope, and 2. bacon thought it was wack for some reason.

i always neglect to mention this because Nas killed his ass after this track lol.

pretty dope. idk why i never got around to listening to this. maybe it's because i just assumed Canibus killed his ass lol.

meh. this was decent, but nothing special. you get D12 on a diss track, knowing the only dope rhymer in the group is dead now, and you are bound to failure. Canibus carried the track. everyone else was fucking garbage and has no business dissing other emcees.

man, i was thinking of putting this up but decided not to because i have a bit of a bias against west coast emcees doing diss tracks (let's be honest, most west coast diss tracks, especially from the g-funk era, were wack). i should have posted it though.

nah man. yeah, he got at Suge, but that diss was pretty mediocre tbh. i mean it's Snoop at his most lyrical, but that track proves how lyrical he is, which is not lyrical at all.

pretty dope. first time i've heard it.

DAMN! i forgot about that shit! holy fuck! the best beat that has ever been laced on a diss track and the rhymes speak for themselves!
