Quote (eboyd) here's a 2002 top 10 list: didn't Jay-Z's Black Album come out that year, i don't like Jay-Z myself but i keep hearing people say they liked that album for some reason, oh and also there was Eminem's 8 Mile song which i still think is a dope song that went number 1 in 2002, it was all Jay-Z vs Nas beef + Eminem's 8 Mile, D12 Album, The Eminem Show album. Didn't MF Doom also have a bunch of albums out those years? I think 2006 shit just went to an all new low coz people weren't even trying to rhyme anymore they were just looking for catchy hooks, it was the rise of mims, soulja boy, hurricane chris, lil jon was at his peak that year, 3-6 Mafia won a fuckin grammy or whatever, Jay-Z released his worse album, nas declared hip hop dead (with an album i didn't even think was that good itself), eminem retired. i'm sure there are a bunch more shit that came out that year. idk much about the underground of that time though coz that was when i had only just started listening to old school hip hop and was always complaining about how shit the radio was coz i had to listen to that shit all day long at work, i remember actually kinda likeing Lil' Jon's "Snap Yo Fingaz" or whatever that song was called. Only hip hop album i liked from that year was PNC's Rookie Card.

The Game might not be the most lyrically talented but he does happen to have some of the most banging beats on his albums. Dope Boyz or whatever it was called was a pretty good beat
common needs to collab with madlib
I dont think that would be a perfect match-up but a good one I wanna hear Eminem on a Premo beat, I wonder wat would happen from that Common + No I.D. = Classic!!

Quote (Lord Meth) Common + No I.D. = Classic!! Common + Dilla >>>>> Common + No I.D. and for that reason i'd say that i agree, i wanna hear Common on Madlib beats because J Dilla and Madlib have like practically identical production styles (but they are different enough to not be repetitive to listen to consecutively). Dilla was pretty much one of Madlib's disciples.
