Dude, Nate, Fat Joe was fucking dope back in the day! That dude used to be underground as hell! He was in DITC with Lord Finesse, Big L, Diamond D, Big Pun, etc., he worked with KRS-One, often got on DJ Premier beats (and recently did again), has traded verses with PERCEE P (and so has Eminem), etc. Dude was fucking REAL back in the day! Sure, there's speculation that Cuban Link and Big Pun were writing all of his rhymes back then, but there's no proof of that and when he wants to he can sound like the same Joey Crack he sounded like 15 years ago. That song he did with Premo ("Gimme That White" or w/e it was called) is a testament to that. He's just a sellout now. Eminem was the same. In fact I'd say Eminem is easily one of the greatest lyricists of all time. That dude's disses to Cage (always little one liners in select songs) are ingenious: In his verse where he was trading verses in a bathroom stall with Percee P: "Jumped on stage and sprayed Cage with Agent Orange" (Agent Orange is one of Cage's close personal friends and partners in crime in the hip hop game). From the BRILLIANT song "Brain Damage" (easily my second favorite he's ever done behind "I Just Don't Give a Fuck" which, btw Meth, that song SHITS on "I Still Don't Give A Fuck" ): "Bought Cage's tape, opened it up and dubbed over it" WHAAAAAT?!?!?!!!??!?!!?!??!!!?! That line is FARKING BERZERK!!!!!! Are you kidding?????? And that's not all. Listen to "Infinite", listen to all his freestyles, listen to SSLP, listen to MMLP. The dude was dope, and even now some of his tracks are cool, but I'd say he's definitely a bit of a sellout now. However, on "Relapse" he definitely returned to trying in spots to be the SSLP/MMLP Eminem that Eminem fans loved. Oh, and btw, I listened to "Stan" again for the first time in a LONG time and I remembered how much I hated it when I was a kid (when it first came out) and when I listened again the other day I thought to myself "what the fuck was I thinking???? This song is DOPE!" The concept, execution of the lyrics, of the beat, etc. was all on point. I was just going by my judgment of that track from when I first heard it back in like 2000 or whenever it came out. So I apologize for my rash judgment of that track.

So yeah, point is, Nate, go check out "J.O.E. (Jealous Ones Envy)" before passing such judgment on Fat Joe. You will be surprised. Even if you don't like it, not respecting it would be pure ignorance. And Drapht is nowhere near as good as you say he is

 even by my calculations....you giving in to liking that track was sooner than even the GREATEST hip hop scientist could predict Im amazed......Erik likes Eminem?!?! Thats deserves to be remembered.....
