Quote (Uncharted) if j dilla was still alive, he would of done a collaboration with jay electronica already i would call that a hypothesis, not an opinion. he may or may not have. i would say, considering the people that each are/were associated with, it is quite likely that this is true.

i've decided i cannot stand most of Royce Da 5'9", he has some of the cheesiest lines and punchlines ever, i just watched his battle with Mistah Fab again and god damn Royce was so cheesy in that battle, he couldn't even connect with the crowd, Mistah Fab rightfully beat him

Quote (8Diagrams) Which is off beat on purpose, just like Kool Keith. I have a feeling you don't know what "abstract lyricism" means. i have a feeling you don't either if you think it has anything to do with flow. Keith is dope but he doesn't like him. i like him but i understand why someone else wouldn't. same with MF DOOM (though his flow is on beat unlike Keith's so wtf are you talking about? lol). Quote (abanks47) LL+GOAT= abanks47 mad. I dislike this dude so much, he's fuckin corny, he's a giant gimmick and must have the most chapped lips in the entertainment industry. also people who say the south killed hip hop are fuckin crazy. mad acts coming from the south i agree with both of these statements, but i definitely wouldn't call LL a complete gimmick. he has dope tracks and he's a good lyricist (when he's not making tracks like "I Need Love" lol!), but he's just WAAAAAY overrated.

Quote (8Diagrams) Maybe not off beat but awkward. But why can't flow be part of lyricism? lyr⋅i⋅cism /ˈlɪrəˌsɪzəm/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [lir-uh-siz-uhm] Show IPA Use lyricism in a Sentence See web results for lyricism See images of lyricism –noun 1. lyric character or style, as in poetry. lyr⋅ic /ˈlɪrɪk/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [lir-ik] Show IPA Use lyric in a Sentence See web results for lyric See images of lyric –adjective Also, lyr⋅i⋅cal. 8. Often, lyrics. the words of a song. the lyrics are the words themselves, not the way they are stated. in hip hop, lyricism specifically pertains to the aspect of the words themselves. an emcee can be an amazing lyricist but have a terrible delivery that will turn many away. Chino XL does this to a lot of people (i am a fan of Chino myself though).

sloppy as in dude sounds like he's getting saliva all over the mic. Literally spittin'. I just think this dude is a huge overrated MC, and find it hard that this cat has had impostors do shows and fans are still bowing down to this cat. Op Doomsday, MM Food, and Madvilliany are coo albums but cats swear on that shit like its the bible, and there's been nothing else this cat has done that makes me want to push play on his name on the zune. also on the abstract tip, one of my favorite MCs is prodigy. this dude comes out of left field with random verses that dont go anywhere on beat but still sounds coo and correct, same with ODB. i like some abstract writers just not all.

Quote (8Diagrams) Always trusting the dictionary isn't a great idea though because they only look at things from a standard human understanding rather than a politcally sophisticated viewpoint. ok, genius, i'll check the etymology dictionary then. seriously dude, the definition of words is how they are deemed by either etymology and current social climate, sometimes a mixture of both. in this case the current social climate definition is better because we are referring to a somewhat new phenomenon called "hip hop" that basically worked as the tool that gave us our current definition for the word lyricism. Quote (8Diagrams) No shit? well, don't play like you don't know that and i won't treat you like you don't Quote (abanks47) and there's been nothing else this cat has done that makes me want to push play on his name on the zune. so you aren't willing to check out "Take Me To Your Leader" from his King Geedorah alter ego? that's my second favorite (behind Madvillainy).

Quote (8Diagrams) Viktor Vaughn: Vaudeville Villain & Venomous Villain meh Quote (8Diagrams) Escape from Monsta Island w/ MIC. i need to check that shit out. been meaning to do so. Quote (abanks47) I forgot about Geedorah but isnt that a group no, that's a solo album, but he is focused more on his beats and so he has a lot of features on that album, including at least 3 tracks where he doesn't even rap at all but instead let's his featured artists get all the shine.
