because they are fighting against a tyrannical regime against a dictator and against THEOCRACY note they are not a Republic they are a theocracy were the religious body holds the executive power so this is IMPORTANT and is IMPORTANT for the USA too if theocracy fails in Iran the US could start having cordial relations whit Iran and maybe even invade it too

and no i meant that Iran's current regime is heavily anti-American so if this regime falls this new one can become a proxy for the US because Iran is more oil rich then both Iraq and Saudi Arabia but if the regime falls there will be a civil war in Iran and the US and NATO will most definitely intervene if that will be the case that's what i meant
