my class had this discussion in social studies talking about the differences between democrats and republicains. The teacher asked the kids which political party do they prefer. Most kids in the class selected democrats and a couple of other kids selected republican.I picked neither b/c i dont really trust either political parties.The teacher asked why most of the kids picked democrats and they said the most predictable. "because my dad, mom, and grandma is a democrat." and not know 1/8 of politics.I know i rarely go to this section but i always wanted to get this off my chest b/c it was always pretty funny to me.So, can you give your input on exactly the difference between republicans and democrats besides the little quick "sugar coated" reason my teacher gave to me at class today?

-increase military spending then she start going into this other shit like "oh domocrats are usually the ones who are free and want to do whatever they want" and "republicans are usually hard working" and im like  how can you possibly assume that?? WTF??? this is a good example how the government is scared to reveal the truth in school.

By smaller government they mean a removal of any programs associated with FDR, Johnson, or Kennedy. And Nixon, at least the EPA.

How is that the same? The explanation you gave doesn't make the government's power smaller. The govn't still has the same amount of control, it's just more concentrated. My explanation shows that they want to weaken the govn't.
