Is it just me or does it seem like the people (especially Black people)have a Messiah Complex concerning Obama?

I agree. I voted for Obama, but I did so because I felt that his outlook on the economy was better than McCain's. There were a significant amount that voted for him just because he's black. Fortunately there were probably more that voted against him for the same reason, effectively cancelling those votes, so it was the people who actually understand politics that won out.

I was listning to BBC world service and they where in Obama i think fathers home town in Kenya or somwhere
and apparently alot of people there think things are gona change and get easier now cause of Obama
Unfortunatly with economic crisis i dont see Obama doing much extra for anyone for at least 3 years or longer cause his hand are tied at home
the thing is tho does any of you think Obama would help out africa any more then bush has in the past?
i mean he rarley said anything about giving aid to countries in the election... soz 4 da bad spelling im wasted lol

well Obama was and is the oppressed minorities dream he is like a role model for oppressed ethnicities from all over the world thats my opinion on Obama concerning social status but when it comes to politics he is a neo-liberal so he gonna bite both of the spectrums so regardless of which presidents we ended up with, we are moving closer into globalization. Obama may cushion the blow of the failing economy in the states, but will not deter the government's plans for the North
American Union imperialist policies etc. As people, we need to keep our sights on the goal. We need to stay prepared and continue to awaken the masses. Obama as president does not change a thing. If anything he will make it harder to wake
people up. Obama is the pacifier required to lull the lower class populace back to sleep. Bush put on enough
pressure to where people were becoming restless. We as people need the masses to be restless.

so far so good whit what ?? he continues killing innocent civilians whit drones in Afghanistan he closed Guantanamo but he created a new one in a US base in Afghanistan Obama is nothing but a celebrity in my opinion he's not even a progressive politician he's center right all the way
