i was reading some stuff about pacific island history, (Samoa, Fiji, Tonga) and how they just like so many other countries were invaded by larger countries and had their people masacred with the help of religion. also these wars were all started over the most stupid things and the end result is always the same, the foreign people use all the native resources getting rich off it and the native people end up poor.

in fiji some american official living in the country had his house get burned down by some arsons, the americans sent the Navy over to the islands demanding a huge sum of money leaving the government broke and they took 3 islands as mortgage, eventually fiji had to go under the rule of the british. british and americans also brang disease to the island wiping out a third of the native population, religious war was also brought to the island when the chief wanted to introduce christianity to the island, the same thing happened with samoa

so i was thinking, is there a single country in the world where this hasn't happened?

there's always been war everywhere, before the white ppl came, tribes would constantly fight among each other raping and pillaging and all that crap. i can't think of a war where someone didn't use religion to gain support lol
