i agree Nas is overrated but that doesn't mean hes not a great MC and Illmatic is a landmark album in hip hop no album to this date concentrated the whole spirit of the 90's in NYC Illmatic is simply the 90's in NYC

its funny you say that,
because I was just about to say that Illmatic is not a 10/10 perfected album for hiphop... But it is a perfect album for NY hiphop, and even more so in the 90's...
But it is by no means the best album ever...
But yeah I SERIOUSLY was about to say exactly what you said.
And on top of that, regardless of whether you like it or not, you can't deny that it is a major landmark in hiphop.

I just don't see how you can possibly think your opinion is any more correct than mine, or anyone elses.
I think Illmatic is a landmark album, and is pretty good, but by no means "The GOAT". I don't even have a GOAT Album because I know there is so much left to hear.
