i know them and for the Ramones it doesn't matter if they did or didn't make cash it does matter that they changed their style so they can be more appealing to the mainstream airwaves they didn't have any punk rock ethics they weren't DIY or as we call it now days they weren't self managed they didn't represent none of the anarchist ideas they didn't promote punk rock as a CULTURE they were just dudes that sang musically punk rock that's all put that guy to compare the material from Crass to the material from The Ramones if we compare the music and the lyrics The Ramones had whit those of Crass then the Ramones were simply bubble gum rock and nothing else
