i love leadbelly, but i read somewhere that he didnt like the blues, he was mainly in to folk music, accordion and shit like that. this shit here is beautiful and sad at the same time, his humming at the start is some of the most eerie shit i've ever heard, but the content of his songs seem like they were meant to entertain white audiences
