yeah im still breaking it in, its another one of those albums that the first time i hear it i don't think much but then after a second listen its awesome, so far i've been playing the song Man to Praise over and over, i just love that come up beat plus the style he raps on that one, its not one of the super lyrical tracks he does on all the other tracks but its still my fave.

btw, i know what you mean. it was the same for me.

oh, i had a total emotionally monumental moment to Bob Marley's Greatest Hits album on the way home from Leila Steinberg's workshop. i was ready to smack the shit out of this Lil Wayne fan/failure at life and rapping though. i swear, no respect and this kid should talk. he reads at like a 2nd grade level.

nah, we were just all having a great moment to real expressive art and he was like purposely getting on my nerves because he could tell i was on some real shit and wasn't down with that fake shit and so he would like counteract my comments. it started when they asked his favorite artist and his friends (who are more on the conscious/underground tip) said "Lil Wayne. he likes Lil Wayne" and Leila immediately mentioned this lawsuit Wayne is filing on Quincy Jones right now because Wayne was really open about his heavy drug abuse in this documentary QD3 is trying to release and Wayne doesn't want to be honest about it and let kids know the negative effects of that shit because he knows it will stunt his record sales and Quincy is going to fight it to the hilt. he wants to release it unedited, in it's raw form, and he's going to go as far as he can to do it. this kid was like, "naw, don't tell me. i don't want to hear anything bad about Wayne" and Leila said "no, you're going to hear this" because Leila is so bluntly honest and it's beautiful biggrin anyways, so this guy who runs the studio and is in a wheelchair said "you know, knowing it is a Lil Wayne documentary i wouldn't want to watch it..." and she interrupted for a sec to say "why is that?" and i told her "we don't like him very much" and the kid was like "oh really! yeah! good for you!!!!" in the most condescending voice ever, so then i go to perform my poem "White Man", which Leila had made me go up first and perform before anyone else because she had actually invited people there to watch me perform it, and he was sitting here giggling and talking the whole time i was performing. after i finished, laughing, he was like "good job man!" again, condescending as can be, while everyone else had meaningful things to say. then this lawyer/emcee from Chicago went up and he had an obvious midwest style, very similar to Bone Thugs but a conscious version. i noticed this and complimented him on it and the next person to comment was this fag. he said "nah man, you don't sound like Bone Thugs at all. don't listen to people when they tell you that bullshit. you have your own style." i remained polite, calm and collective and just said "lyrically you are worlds different from Bone, but your flow... i can definitely tell they are at least a slight influence." it was beautiful though. the guy helped me own him by mentioning the fact that he has several tracks with BTNH. the kid just shut up. it's funny too though because this kid doesn't seem to realize that i would pound him in 2 seconds.

the tracks i've heard are dope. i felt "Put It On The Line," because of that annoying ass beat, was weak as hell, but the remix version was 10X better.
