you said a remix though. Coltrane died in 1967, long before the remix was invented. what remix? how can i find it?

Yes erik a remix by john coltrane and someother dude
it goes for shorter then the original version does only around 7minutes
and it came out (i think) around the same time as the original
or was put out as an extra track later on..just go on youtube
and type "John coltrane impressions remix" it should be there
its not hip-hop either.

then it would be a reMAKE, not a reMIX. mixing, in the sense we know it today, was not invented yet when JC died and "Impressions" was one of his somewhat earlier works as the later music he released was all ohm music.

are you talking about this?:

Eric Dolphy isn't just some guy. he's no John Coltrane, but he's one of the greatest saxophonists in Jazz history. great track though.
